Day 1: Departure-Cairo

28 Septembre 2014 , Rédigé par Zac Richter-François Gutierrez

Day1: 25th of May 2005

It's with excitement that we got up at this morning's sunset to take our flight( 5:45 AM...it was awful).Fortunatly we arrived just on time at the Heathrow airport and managed to get in the plane... 15 minutes late. The flight lasted 2 hours and a half and as Zack was a bit sick, he threw up when we arrived... It was stinking in the whole plane. Our journey was definitely beginning in a really bad way, but we we still had hope! We finally got out of the airport of Cairo approximately at 9 PM, one luggage missing... No! Just kidding!!

We went directly to the hotel because we were tired and we wanted to lay down for a moment on a comfortable bed but that didn't happen as the beds were just pieces of shit, so basically we were just in a shithole... As we weren't able to sleep, we decided to begin our visit.

We went first to the famous Cairo museum which was full of old mummys and egyptian jewelry. We learnt a lot about egyptian burrials and civilization as well. It was fantastic of course and Zack threw up again, what a poet...

Afterwards, at 1 PM, as we were starving we chose to get a traditional meal. Well, we won't do it again, at least we weren't hungry anymore for a long while.

In the afternoon, we travelled around the city to see the pyramids. But we got lost... And we only saw those from a far distance.

At 6 PM, dinner time for the respectable English people we represent with a large buffet of delicious meals in a nice French restaurant we found!!! Excellent. I wish the British food was as good as the French one... But unfortunaly for us it's not the case.

Exhausted, at 9 PM (we ate a lot) we went in our (uncomfortable) beds and slept for long time. But you'll know all about our awakening tomorrow. We wish you a pleasant journey and see you with the next article folks. ;)

I love what you do, Egypt is wonderful but I didn't really enjoy Cairo because as unbeleavable as it might be, it was raining when I was there so I'd say that this place sucks a bit...
